WHAI Virtual Lunch & Learn: Living in the Asterisk (*): What does U=U mean for women?

WHEN: October 31, 2024, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00pm

This webinar will provide an overview of WHAI’s recently updated resource on U=U and our priority populations.  It will both celebrate U=U and also delve into the complexities of people’s lives when thinking about U=U and topics such as breast / chestfeeding, how U=U applies to sharing drug use equipment, the social and structural determinants of health that define who are able to achieve an undetectable viral load, and realities of HIV criminalization. This lunch and learn will apply a gendered analysis to these realities.

Guest speakers will be Sandra Ka Hon Chu (HIV Legal Network) and Dr. Malika Sharma (University of Toronto & St. Michaels Hospital).

You can read more about WHAI’s resource here

This lunch and learn is open to anyone interested in attending.  It will be most relevant to members of the WHAI network including WHAI Coordinators, Managers & Executive Directors, workers from other PPNs, staff at ASOs, workers in partner organizations, and community members who are interested.
