Racialized Students in Healthcare present: HIV Dismantling HIV Stigmas & Myths

HIV is an epidemic that affects our society, particularly racialized communities, women, immigrants and low income members of our community.

Dismantling the myths around HIV requires educating the general public about HIV epidemiology, ART Therapy and importance of regular intake of antiretroviral drugs.

Students enrolled in the Racialized Student in Healthcare Lecture Series have been trained in Clinical Insights into HIV Care and Research.

This student led conference would be an opportunity for these amazing students to present their research and solutions designed to combat HIV stigmas and social determinants such as housing, poor HIV education and financial instability that aid in perpetuating HIV and HIV stigma, to the general public.
