You’re invited to a virtual panel discussion titled “Supporting women living with HIV through healthy pregnancies and infant feeding” co-hosted by WHAI and CATIE. 

Date: March 28th, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00pm. 

HIV treatment is a game changer for women living with HIV. With consistent, thoughtful treatment, women living with HIV can live long, healthy lives. They can get pregnant through condomless sex and have HIV-negative babies. For those who chose to breast / chest feed, effective HIV treatment greatly lowers the risk of transmission (but does not completely eliminate it). 

 During this webinar, you will learn about: 

• The benefits of HIV treatment for pregnancy planning, pregnancy, and infant-feeding 
• The updated Canadian guidelines on infant feeding in Canada in the context of HIV 
• Practice-based implications for supporting women living with HIV who are considering pregnancy, are pregnant, or are considering infant-feeding options
