HIV and the Criminal Law: A Workshop on the Impact of HIV Criminalization on African, Caribbean and Black People living with HIV (CLOSED – Virtual Event)
Together with Africans in Partnership against AIDS (APAA), the African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO), the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP), and HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO), we have been collaborating on new HIV criminalization resources specifically created for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities in Canada. These resources will be available in the coming days and we’ll share them in an upcoming LNN.
Along with these resources, we are pleased to offer two virtual workshops on the impact of HIV criminalization on ACB communities.
On March 21, the workshop is happening from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET and open to everyone, with the last 30 minutes reserved for ACB people living with HIV.
CLOSED EVENT – On March 25, we’re holding another from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET specifically for ACB women living with HIV.
To register, email Aisha Assan-Lebbe at AAssanLebbe@HIVLegalNetwork.ca.
